On a beautiful Winter's evening a few week ago I met with Alexia and Jae and their gorgeous daughter Lily at the top of Rapaki Track. I photographed this little girl as a tiny newborn baby one whole year ago. Alexia and Jae decided to use their complimentary mini session to celebrate Lily turning one. And what a gorgeous shoot it was! Stunning evening, stunning views and stunning models!
Such a gorgeous family :)
Enjoy the photos everyone!
Newborn lifestyle photography has always has always been a favourite of mine. I loved the relaxed sessions, the story telling, the real moments and true honest connections. It is what I absolutely love to do and what I feel I am meant to do!
These photos are from a recent session I did - meet Miss Mackenzie and her lovely family! Mackenzie was born early at 36 weeks, I photographed her just shy of her due date and she weighed just a tiny 5 lbs! Check out the family dog - I seriously think that this doggie thought the baby was hers :)
You family pet is most welcome to be a part of your newborn lifestyle session! This doggie was soooo in love with her new baby sister, I don't think I have seen anything quite like it! She stayed very close and was so protective!
Family photography fundraisers are relatively new to Little Poppits Photography but already they are proving so popular with only a few spots left in 2017. It's a fabulous way for your Kindergarten, Preschool, Playcentre or Organisation to make a few extra dollars and a chance for your families to have a photo session at the fraction of the normal price.
The sessions are run over a weekend and I typically photograph around 15 families in one day. Each family pays a $20 session fee to the centre which gives them a 20 min slot with me. It is such a fun day, I can honestly say I enjoy every minute! I love getting to meet so many families and creating something special for them.
After the session each family gets their own private online gallery for them to order from. AND... a percentage of the profits goes back to the centre too.
Here are a few images from Nikki and Jered's 20 minute session!
If you would like to talk with me more about a family photography fundraiser for your centre/organisation then please give me a cal!
Every year in January I set myself a challenge to photograph my daughter every day for the entire month. Sometimes the photos are posed, sometimes they are not - its just whatever takes my fancy on the day! January is a great month with it being summer holidays - there is so much going on so it's not too hard to think outside the square. As much as I like to try new things and push myself out of my photography comfort zone, it's actually a really fun thing to do and such a lovely summer holiday record for her. At the end of the month I make up a little album and she loves going through the photos and talking about what she was doing on that particular day.
Yes.... I am glad when Jan 31st does roll around ;)
But I am looking forward to my next Project..... July 2017. Smack bag in the middle of Winter :)
A few weeks ago I met up with the Shaw family in the botanical gardens for their photo session. It was such a lovely evening - the kids had a ball running through the daffodils and exploring the gardens......we pretty much had the place to ourselves! I did this shoot an hour out from sunset and although it was a cloudy evening and not much sun, the light was still gorgeous... and this is the result :)
I had the pleasure of spending the morning with this tiny wee dot and her family a few weeks back.
Miss Amelia (2 weeks old) and her big sister Annabelle, 2 years.
Such a lovely session
Thank you for having me in your home!
There is a spot not too far from where I live that I spend lots of time - Honor loves the park and the dog has a ball exploring on the track. It is extra magical during sunrise and sunset - the light is so pretty the way it filters through the trees. Just has such a lovely feel about it! I have always wondered how it would work for a family shoot so I grabbed a few cute models.... and my own cute model and off we went to investigate :)
This one belongs to me :)
This gorgeous bunch belong to my friend and neighbour
My conclusion? Stunning - totally recommend this little slice of paradise for a family photoshoot!!!
I always do a photo a day challenge of my daughter every January - such a fun and easy month to document because everyone is in holiday mode, its sunny.....and her birthday is thrown in the mix! But I decided it would be fun to do a mid year challenge too and July seemed like the perfect month being smack bang in the middle. And its winter so changes things up a bit!
So here you go.....a photo a day for the month of July.
Its a wrap!
so much fun
so many precious moments
give it a go!
So excited so be able to share some images from Addison's newborn lifestyle session a few weeks ago. This little girl was born a month early so when I photographer her a 12 days old, she should have still been tucked up toasty in her Mum's tummy! She was still so tiny at under 7lbs and really sleep - a photographers dream! Thanks to her Mum and Dad for letting me share their session with you :)
The most perfect, tiny toes you ever did see :)
It was a pleasure to meet you Miss Addison - happy days little girl :)
